Dr. Travis P. Martin, MD, QME, is a dual board-certified Emergency Medicine and Pain Medicine physician. He offers an integrative perspective on trauma-based care throughout California, bringing a combination of acute and chronic pain expertise to personal injury and workers’ compensation cases. With a background in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Martin has in-depth training in traumatic injuries at their onset in the emergency department, with direct experience working alongside trauma, orthopedic, and neurosurgical specialists. His breadth of exposure provides insight into the diagnostic process, stabilization, and acute management of many medicolegal cases.
His additional subspecialty training in Pain Medicine allows him to address the long-term consequences of these injuries, including chronic pain, surgical recovery, and complex medical sequelae. He has extensive experience with fluoroscopically guided injections, as well as advanced pain-based therapies, including spinal cord stimulation, minimally invasive spine treatments, vertebral augmentation, and neuro-regenerative therapies.
As a Qualified Medical Examiner (QME) in California, Dr. Martin provides impartial evaluations, impairment ratings, and causation/apportionment analyses. His experience in both acute and chronic care uniquely positions him to connect the mechanism of injury with its ongoing medical and functional impact. This dual perspective offers attorneys and claims specialists a distinct advantage in understanding and litigating complex injury cases.
