Reginald Alexander, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon. He is a, actively practicing surgeon with officed in downtown Los Angeles, California. In his practice, he is passionate about helping athletes heal and specializes in the treatment of sports injuries, including rotator cuff repair, shoulder stabilization, femoral acetabular impingement (FAI), ACL reconstruction, and cartilage preservation.
Dr. Alexander earned his Bachelor of Science in biology at Howard University in Washington, DC, before obtaining his Doctor of Medicine from the Howard University College of Medicine. He completed his medical residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals in Illinois and a sports medicine fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Dr. Alexander has served as the team doctor for several high school and college sports teams, including the University of Chicago, and football, track and field, men’s tennis, and women’s water polo at UCLA. He presented several lectures on rehabilitation after ACL injuries and surgery, elbow MCL injuries, and the cost of hip arthroscopy at UCLA.
