Mi-Yeoung Jo, PsyD

Dr. Jo is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist with extensive training and nearly two decades of experience in assessing patients across the life span (toddlers to elderly adults). Dr. Jo’s expertise includes traumatic brain injury, learning disabilities, AD/HD, concussions, neurodevelopmental disorders, and complex medical cases. Dr. Jo also has considerable experience in the medical-legal arena and has been appointed as expert witness in both civil and criminal cases.  Dr.  Jo is bilingual and is able to provide culturally sensitive evaluations in Korean utilizing various assessment instruments developed and standardized in Korea.

​Dr. Jo graduated from Duke University as an undergraduate and completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) at the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles (CSPP-LA).  She completed advanced post-doctoral training in clinical neuropsychology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Bergen Neuropsychology Group in New Jersey (APPCN program), the latter which included rotations through Weill-Cornell Medical Center and Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center.

Dr. Jo has achieved board certification in clinical neuropsychology as well as subspeciality certification in pediatric neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP-CN).  Board certification is the most rigorous and identifiable evidence of competence and training in the field of neuropsychology.

​Dr. Jo has held clinical and faculty appointments at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City, and S.U.N.Y Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn.  She has published in the areas of brain tumors, movement disorders, cancer rehabilitation, and cross-cultural evaluations.
