Sani Kohen, DC, is a board-certified chiropractor and the founder of Functional Restoration Institute, specializing in treating nerve and fascia-related dysfunctions. Dr. Kohen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and Kinesiology from Hofstra University in New York and a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences, with a focus on Sports Medicine, Functional Medicine, and Neuromuscular Advanced Imaging.

Born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey, Dr. Kohen came to the United States at the age of 16 to pursue a passion for basketball. Overcoming a chronic knee injury with regenerative medicine and chiropractic care sparked an interest in human physiology and biomechanics. This led to the pursuit of a degree in Exercise Physiology and Kinesiology at Hofstra University. After completing the degree, Dr. Kohen discovered a true passion and furthered education by earning a Doctorate degree in Chiropractic care at Southern California University of Health Sciences. Dr. Kohen’s commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with advancements in chiropractic care and integrative medicine remains steadfast. He actively attends various conferences and continues to learn from world-leading doctors in different disciplines to ensure the highest level of care for his patients.
