Tristan B. Mele, DO, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in orthopedic trauma surgery. He earned his Doctorate from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency, serving as Chief Resident, before his training through an orthopedic trauma fellowship at the University of Calgary in Canada. Dr. Mele also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from The Colorado College. His clinical expertise includes the evaluation and treatment of complex fractures, traumatic musculoskeletal injuries, and orthopedic conditions affecting both the upper and lower extremities.
Dr. Mele currently serves as an Orthopedic Trauma Attending. He also performs med-legal evaluations as a California QME and Independent Medical Evaluations (IME). Throughout his career, he has held orthopedic trauma and general orthopedic surgery positions at hospitals across the United States, including Ogden Regional Medical Center, and has contributed to orthopedic research through peer-reviewed publications and scientific presentations. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA), and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (AOAO).
