Darin Stowell, PsyD

Dr. Darin G. Stowell, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist and California Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) with more than 25 years of experience in psychology, behavioral health, and forensic mental health. His background includes leadership roles within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, where he currently serves as Chief Psychologist and Chief of Mental Health, overseeing one of the state’s largest correctional mental health programs. Dr. Stowell’s experience spans clinical assessment, psychological testing, treatment planning, substance abuse, trauma, and complex mental health cases across correctional, military, hospital, and community settings.

In his med-legal practice, Dr. Stowell provides thorough, objective, and evaluations.  His combination of education, leadership experience, forensic mental health knowledge, and decades of clinical practice allows him to evaluate complex psychological and psychiatric issues with accuracy and attention to detail.
