Syed Omar Tirmizi, MD is a board-certified, fellowship trained internist and pulmonologist.  His specialties include Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Disorders.

Dr. Tirmizi studied medicine at the Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, Pakistan, where he performed his internship, and at Michigan State University/ McLaren Regional Medical Center, Flint, Michigan. Dr. Tirmizi completed his residency in Internal Medicine (IM) at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. He subsequently completed a Fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care at University of Southern California (USC) Medical Center where he was also the recipient of the Wills Rogers Award.

Dr. Tirmizi teaches internal medicine resident physicians and pulmonary fellows at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and also holds a position as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at David Geffen UCLA School of Medicine.
