Joel A. Weddington, MD

Joel Weddington, MD is an orthopaedic surgeon based in the Inland Empire and Central Valley areas of California. He completed his medical degree at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. He pursued further training in orthopedic surgery at Cook County Hospital and the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago, followed by a fellowship in orthopedic trauma at UCSF- San Francisco General Hospital. Dr. Weddington has held numerous positions throughout his career, including roles at the San Francisco Multispecialty Medical Group, Adelberg Associates Medical Group, and Concentra Medical Centers, with private practice experience spanning over three decades.

Dr. Weddington’s expertise encompasses industrial injuries and medlegal evaluations, chronic spinal pain and degenerative conditions, physical medicine and rehabilitation, non-operative orthopedics, and general orthopedics including upper and lower extremity evaluations. He is also recognized for his contributions to medical literature, including publications on cumulative trauma and industrial causation. His accolades include a Traveling Residency Award from the Mid-America Orthopaedic Association and recognition from the Chicago Trauma Society.
