John Hearst Welborn, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and traumatic injuries. John H. Welborn, MD, completed a fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) under the mentorship of Edward Diao, MD, following his orthopedic surgery residency through the San Francisco Orthopaedic Residency Program at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society, and received his undergraduate degree in Physics from Franklin and Marshall College.
