Dr. Gary Brazina (“The Jock Doc”) specializes in arthroscopic surgery, PRP, non-surgical stem cell treatment for joints, and sports medicine. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery; the Arthroscopy Board of North America; and the American College of Surgeons. He has served as a Qualified Medical Examiner and is available as both an Agreed Medical Examiner and an Independent Medical Examiner.
Dr. Brazina has extensive experience in all Medical-Legal aspects of Orthopaedic Surgery, including personal injury, IME examinations, and workers’ compensation. He is adept at and has lectured on utilizing AMA 5th edition guidelines.
In his 25 years of surgical experience, Dr. Brazina has treated some of the nation’s top athletes. He served as the team physician to the Los Angeles Heat football team and the LA Blades. He was a medical consultant for the US Olympic Committee, Red Bull Athletes, Cirque du Soleil’s Kooza and Ova, and Dancing with the Stars. He was also a second opinion physician for the NFL Players Association and was on the Board of Governors for the Academy of BodyBuilders.
Dr. Brazina was named a Super Doctor by LA Magazine and featured in Leading Physicians of the World. He writes and lectures extensively, both professionally and for the general public. He served on the editorial board for Women’s Fitness Magazine and has been featured in articles published in Redbook, Shape, Sports Illustrated, and Elle magazines. He has also appeared on CNN, LA Today, and other TV shows.
