Dr. Glassmire has conducted forensic evaluations for over two decades.  He completed a fellowship in forensic psychology at Patton State Hospital (PSH), the largest forensic hospital in California.  He has worked in various capacities at PSH since 2000.  He has directed Patton’s American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited internship since 2006 and Patton’s postdoctoral fellowship in forensic psychology since 2016.  Over 100 psychology trainees at the doctoral and postdoctoral levels have completed these programs under his direction.

He is board certified in forensic psychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP).  He has published numerous research studies and book chapters on the utility of psychological tests in forensic evaluations with a focus on the MMPI family of instruments, as well as symptom validity and performance validity tests (SVTs and PVTs).  His research on SVTs and PVTs is focused on the use of these instruments across cultural groups and among individuals with psychiatric diagnoses often encountered in forensic evaluations.

In 2023, Dr. Glassmire was awarded the Distinguished Contributions to Forensic Psychology award by the American Academy of Forensic Psychology (AAFP).   Dr. Glassmire lives in Southern California.

In his spare time, he enjoys running, watching movies, spending time with his two dogs, and listening to music.
