Joseph Jankiewicz, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon with decades of experience in joint replacement and musculoskeletal care. A Navy veteran, Dr. Jankiewicz is a distinguished member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the San Diego Orthopedic Society, and the San Diego County Medical Society. Recognized for his excellence Orthopaedic Surgery, he was named San Diego’s Best Doctor by the San Diego County Medical Society for 19 consecutive years.
During his residency at the Naval Medical Center/Balboa Hospital, Dr. Jankiewicz earned a prestigious fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery, affiliated with Cornell University. Following this specialized training, he returned to the Balboa area, where he led the total joint replacement program for over three years. He later transitioned to Sharp Rees-Stealy, practicing there for over 25 years.
Dr. Jankiewicz lives in Southern California, with his wife Holly. And when he’s not working, he enjoys biking and cooking.
