Dr. Mandel is triple Board-Certified in General Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Mandel is a former Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Case Western Reserve Medical School in Cleveland Ohio and was the Chief of plastic surgery at both University Hospitals of Cleveland and the Veteran Administration Hospital. He’s now been in private practice for over 30 years. Dr. Mandel is a certified upper extremity specialist with expertise in nerve injury and nerve compression problems. He can evaluate any type of injury to the neck, shoulders, elbows, forearms, wrists, hands and digits. Dr. Mandel can evaluate any plastic or reconstructive surgical injury, including burns and facial fractures.

Dr. Mandel is the author of Seventy Scientific Publications throughout the years. He’s edited a book on skin cancer (Symposium on Skin Tumors for Clinics in Plastic Surgery) and authored a book entitled: Sculpture, A Man’s Guide to Cosmetic Surgery, NY. He has presented papers at over forty National and International scientific meetings. Dr. Mandel has performed over 18,000 operative procedures in the course of his career and he now spends his time exclusively conducting med-legal evaluations, either as a QME, AME or regular physician. Dr. Mandel is respected by both applicant and defense attorneys and has been an AME on over 10,000 cases.
