Ellen Shirman, Psy.D. is a board-certified clinical psychologist. She has been in private practice since 1994, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of individuals with acquired brain injuries, neurological disorders, and various mental health conditions. In addition to her practice and QME work, Dr. Shirman has also served as an Independent Medical Evaluator (IME), providing expert testimony in numerous trials over the past two decades. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology, and a member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology.
Prior to earning her Doctor of Psychology degree, Dr. Shirman earned her Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA, and then her doctorate in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University. She also received a master’s degree in clinical
psychopharmacology. She completed a fellowship program in clinical neuropsychology at The Institute of Brain Injury Research and Training at Mediplex Rehabilitation in Camden, N.J.
Dr. Shirman is a highly trained and experienced clinical psychologist and med-legal expert and is available for evaluations in Southern California.
