Our doctors will conduct a medical examination that will help resolve your dispute. However if you don’t have an attorney you will need to use a certified QME.
Difference between a QME and an AME is that for an AME, usually an attorney must represent you. This allows the opportunity to select any qualified physician to testify during your case, instead of picking a doctor through the California State System that is required when using a QME.
- Once you see an Agreed Medical Examiner you are no longer entitled to see a Qualified Medical Examiner.
- An AME may be used regardless of the year of injury.
- Some Agreed Medical Examiners may be also be certified by California as Qualified Medical Examiners.
